I used ChatGPT to help me create a 3-month plan to make $10k in MRR.
These are the steps I used to accomplish it…
1. Fill out the questionnaire below:
**Who I am**
Describe what you do professionally.
Example: “I’m a hairstylist at a local salon. I cut, color, and style hair for clients every day. I’m currently learning advanced techniques like balayage and extensions.”
**What I need help with**
Describe in detail what you are looking for. Separate items by bullet points.
Example:
– Balayage technique: I struggle with getting the blended, natural look—any tips?
– Client retention: How can I keep clients coming back? Should I offer loyalty programs?
– Social media: What’s the best way to showcase my work on Instagram to attract new clients?
– Time management: How can I reduce appointment delays without rushing my work?
**Who I want you to be**
Describe who you want to become in X months.
Example: “In 6 months, I want to master balayage and extensions so I can charge premium prices. In 12 months, I’d love to open my own small studio or build a strong clientele that books me months in advance.”
2. Complete this prompt and add it at the bottom of the questionnaire:
“I want you to act as a INSERT_EXPERT_IN_YOUR_NICHE. I want to create a X-month strategy to achieve $X of MRR. I want you to provide a detailed explanation with actionable items and a clear strategy I can follow week by week. I want to know in what days I need to work on INSERT_TASKS_HERE and for how long. Please consider everything else I included in the “what I need help with” section.”
3. As ChatGPT outputs the information, read it through and start making changes to what you are being presented by using one of the following follow up prompts:
“Please rewrite the strategy to include X.”
“Please rewrite the strategy without including X.”
4. When you are happy with the strategy, take each item and add it to your favorite project manager to keep track of each task as you complete them. I use Freedcamp but you can use Asana or even the notes app on your phone.
Ideally, this exercise will take you a few hours to complete but then you will have a pretty robust, step-by-step, actionable business plan to help you go to the next step in your professional journey.
